Sergius and Bacchus

Sergius and Bacchus were soldiers in the bodyguard of emperor Galerius who refused to enter a temple dedicated to Jupiter. For their insubordination, they were paraded around town in womenâs clothes and eventually tried, tortured, and executed together.
