Welcome Home 🎗️

The Chapter House is more than just a 📚 bookstore

It is a 🧙 Tolkien-inspired refuge where stories, imagination, and fellowship shape how we live in the world. For customers, it feels like stepping into a Shire-like gathering place: warm, grounded, and enchanted by books.

Yet behind its shelves, The Chapter House is the welcoming foyer of a larger vision: 🪖 Grunt Works. Where Tolkien transmuted the obscenity of trench warfare into an earth-loving legendarium, Grunt Works seeks to turn the obscenity of modern war and military alienation into a positive, universal movement of community and justice.

We’re hoping to open Veterans Day, November 11th, but you don’t have to wait to support us.

🪑 What’s in a Chapter?

This store isn’t just about books. It’s about belonging. It's a space to process hard questions, build community, and host events that matter. Our chapters aren’t just in books — they’re in lives, in healing, in resistance, and in story.
