George Macleod

🗓️ Jun 27th

Captain George MacLeod served in France during WWI, which made him a devoted pacifist and inspired him to be ordained in the Church of Scotland, part of the Anglican Communion. He rebuilt the ancient Abbey of Iona and founded an ecumenical community there in 1938, members of which take the title Miles Christi, or soldier of Christ.
