Thank you for taking the time to share your response article draft with us and reach out. We receive a large number of pitches on many topics that are important to our mission and I regret we are unable to use this one. 

Also, one small note, for what it's worth: I'm pleased to let you know we are able to now pay for accepted online opinion pieces—something that wasn't true in the past when the website was organized more as a blog, but that we've worked hard to adjust in recent years.
